Introduction:

Adata’s XPG Gammix S70, which uses InnoGrit PCIe Gen4 eight-channel NVMe SSD controller, Rainier IG5236, wins 2021 Computex d&I Award.

XPG, a fast-growing provider of systems, components, and peripherals for Gamers, Esports Pros, and Tech Enthusiasts, announces that its GAMMIX S70 PCIe Gen4 solid-state drive (SSD) has been awarded a 2021 COMPUTEX d&i award. This honour adds to the S70’s list of accolades, including a 2021 Red Dot Award: Product Design and 2020 Golden Pin Design Award, and affirms its status as the world’s most-awarded Gen4 SSD.

With the latest PCIe Gen4 interface, the GAMMIX S70 is designed to help gamers dominate the competition with sequential read/write performance of up to 7400/6400/MB per second. For reliable operations and excellent stability, the S70 is equipped with XPG’s proprietary heat sink design. The aluminium heat sink features a terraced, layered structure that is inspired by ocean waves and offers an increased surface area for heat dissipation. The hollow chambers underneath further add to the device’s thermal cooling capabilities by encouraging airflow and convective heat transfer.

Commissioned by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the 13th COMPUTEX d&i awards are organized by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in partnership with judges from a wide array of industries and disciplines, ranging from venture capital to technology. The award program evaluates candidates based on a set of criteria that includes innovation, technology, functionality, social responsibility, and aesthetics.
