Shasta (IG5208)

Shasta (IG5208) is an industry-leading PCIe Gen3 x2, NVMe 1.3 SSD controller with capacity up to 2TB.
Featuring a DRAM-less architecture with HMB and Intelligent Power Management Unit, Shasta delivers high performance, ultra-low power, and low cost by removing expensive DRAM in SSDs. Shasta has four NAND channels, supporting SLC, MLC, TLC, and QLC with ONFI 4.0 and Toggle 3.0. Shasta’s low power and small size make it an ideal solution for BGA and M.2 SSDs in popular form factors.
Additionally, Shasta supports multiple advanced features, including Smart Cache, integrated Power-On Reset (POR) function, multi-level power management, NAND boot partition, simplified PCB design, etc.
Shasta targets applications that require ultra-thin and light form factor, ultra-long battery lifespan, and outstanding performance without the need of complicated thermal solutions, such as client/edge computing, server boot drive, industrial control, embedded systems, and external storage, especially for IoT and consumer electronics applications.

Shasta+ (IG5216) is a PCIe Gen3 x4, NVMe 1.4 SSD Controller with capacity up to 2TB. Featuring an enhanced DRAM-less architecture with HMB, Shasta+ breaks the existing boundaries to get optimized performance and lower latency, and thus delivers industry-leading performance at low cost.
Shasta+ is designed to speed up SSD sequential transfer, and its advanced Intelligent Power Management Unit enables ultra-low power consumption in active and idle modes. Shasta+ has four NAND channels, supporting SLC, MLC, TLC and QLC with ONFI 4.1 and Toggle 4.0.
Additionally, Shasta+ supports advanced features including multiple data encryption and protection schemes, Smart Cache, integrated Power-On Reset (POR), multi-level power management, NAND boot partition, enhanced QLC performance, simplified PCB design, etc.
Shasta+ has flexible packaging support for BGA and M.2 SSD form factors. Rainier IG5236 (IG5236)

Rainier family includes two members targeting different applications:The IG5236 targets , and IG5636 for data centers and enterprise applications.
Rainier IG5236 , implemented in 12nm FinFET CMOS process, is an industry-leading PCIe Gen4 x4, NVMe 1.4 SSD controller with capacity size up to 8TB.
The IG5236 supports DDR SDRAM with (32+8)-bit or 32-bit wide data bus. Rainier has eight NAND channels, supporting MLC, TLC and QLC with either ONFI 4.1 or Toggle 2.0/3.0/4.0.
The IG5236 is built with the highest-level security with multiple data encryption and protection schemes including AES, SM2/3/4 (China state key), SHA, RSA, ECC, CRC, and end-to-end data protection.
Leveraging InnoGrit’s proprietary ECC technology, data endurance and retention are largely enhanced to deliver better reliability and ultra-high performance for SSD solutions.
